Julian StarFest Aug. 1-3
Camping availability for tent and RV campers. Exhibits by major telescope and accessory vendors. Food and beverage vendors. Astronomy games and crafts for kids. Raffle for donated astronomy equipment on Saturday. Optional behind the scenes tour of the world famous Palomar Observatory on Saturday.

Carlsbad Music Festival Aug. 2-4
Features dozens of performances of creative music of all kinds curated by CMF Founder and Artistic Director, composer/violinist Matt McBane. The weekend includes free indoor and outdoor concerts at various venues, beer garden, food trucks, artisan market, and pop-up art gallery.

Chula Vista Lemon Festival Aug. 4

Heiva San Diego Aug. 9-11

National City Automobile Heritage Day Festival & Car Show Aug. 10
Join us for live music, food from a variety of popular eateries, entertainment for children and specialty booths. A drive-by awards ceremony at 2pm will showcase first-place winners for each of the classes as well as second- and third-place winners.

Imperial Beach Surf Dog Competition Aug. 10
More than 60 dogs are expected to participate in this family friendly event, which raises funds for the San Diego Humane Society.

ArtWalk @ Liberty Station Aug. 10-11
More than 200 international, national and local San Diego artists, showcasing every medium including painting, sculpture, glass work, fine jewelry, photography and more. Luau and Legends of Surfing Invitational Aug. 17-18
A friendly competition that draws surf legends from around the world, followed by a festive luau with musical entertainment, a tropical buffet, and live and silent auctions. Surfers, scientists and survivors come together to support the fight against cancer.

World Bodysurfing Championships Aug. 17-18
350-400 bodysurfers from around the world compete in their respective age divisions for trophies and prizes. The Men and Womens Grand Champions will be announced Sunday afternoon on the final day.

Fairy Tale Village Aug. 17-18

Bike the Bay Aug. 25
Cruise around the San Diego Bay and enjoy your only opportunity to ride across the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge. This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic, and primarily flat ride, around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway.

US Sand Sculpting Challenge & Dimensional Art Expo Aug. 31-Sep. 2
The sculptures weigh over 10 tons, so we have over 1,000 works of art that you can fall in love with, buy and take home. Theres also live entertainment, a sand box and rides for kids, a dozen gourmet food trucks, a fantastic view of the bay and all the great stuff that you always find on the Embarcadero!
