San Diego International Auto Show Jan. 1-5
Over 400 vehicles from 30 plus global manufacturers. Be among the first in the U.S. to see dozens of newly unveiled vehicles not yet in showrooms. The wide selection of 2020 and 2021 model-year vehicles on display will feature the newest technology to enhance the driving experience, all packaged in luxurious interiors and wrapped in cutting-edge designs.

San Diego Brew Fest Jan. 10
Another fun-filled day with beer, food trucks, and music. The event will feature dozens of local and international craft beers, as well as San Diegos most popular food trucks!

Poway Winter Festival Jan. 10-11
Feel snow between your fingers while sledding down the snow hill; smell roasting marshmallows as you devour delicious smores; experience the wind in your hair skating around the synthetic ice rink; and more! Lights will twinkle, as music sets the tone and laughter fills the air.

Gem Faire Jan. 10-12

Jurassic Quest Jan. 10-12
Americas largest and most realistic Dinosaur event. Our guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and The Triassic period and experience for themselves what it was like to be among dinosaurs of all kinds.

Human Trafficking Awareness Walk Jan. 11
This event is free and open to all. Families and pets are welcome! We will have bottled water available and signs. Arrive at 12:30 to register and hear speakers. A $10 donation is requested but not required.

Cyclovia Encinitas Jan. 12
Explore Downtown Encinitas on South Coast Highway 101 via bike, on foot or other means of self powered transportation, FREE of cars! It is a Spanish term that means Cycleway. It is the closing of certain streets to automobiles for a temporary time, in order to allow cyclists, skaters and pedestrians access to local businesses on open streets.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade Jan. 19
The parade is filled with dazzling floats, phenomenal High School Bands, Drill Teams, College, Fraternities & Sororities, Churches, Peace and Youth organizations. This parade is coordinated by the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the oldest African American fraternity in America, founded in 1906.

ECTLC Fun Run/Walk Jan. 19

Carlsbad Marathon & Half Marathon Jan. 19-20
The Tri-City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon and Half Marathon course goes through Carlsbad Village and along the oceanfront Pacific Coast Highway. Kids Marathon Mile at LEGOLAND takes place Saturday, Jan. 19 at 8am.

San Diego Restaurant Week Jan. 19-26
For one week only, over 180 participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $20, $30, $40 or $50 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for $10, $15 or $20 per person. The participating restaurants span across the county from the South Bay to East County and to the borders of Oceanside and Fallbrook to the North and touch on all cuisine types and cravings.

San Diego TET Festival 2020 Jan. 24-26

USATF 50km Race Walk Olympic Trials & Santee Sunset 5K Jan. 25
The 5K course will be the same as the USATF 50km Race Walking course that professional athletes just competed on to qualify for the U. S. Olympic Race Walking team in the Tokyo 2020 games that morning.

CFAs San Diego Cat Show Jan. 25-26
The nations finest cats will vie for top honors at The Super Bowl of Cat Competition, the largest annual cat show on the West Coast. There will be more than 450 cats from more than 42 recognized cat breeds in competition.

Youth Fishing Derby Seminar & Campout Jan. 31
Learn to fish from the pros and watch demonstrations on how to properly rig a line the night before. Pizza dinner will be served for attendees at 5:00 PM, with the fishing seminar immediately following at 5:30pm. Participants and their families are invited to spend the night for only $15 a car.
