Youth Fishing Derby Seminar & Campout   Feb. 1

Cardiff Kook Run   Feb. 3
The Cardiff Kook Run 5K, 10K and Costume Contest. The course starts under the world famous Encinitas sign on historic HWY 101. This scenic loop passes by the famous Cardiff Kook statue (The Magic Carpet Ride), rises above some of the most popular surf breaks in the world and heads down to Cardiff State Beach.

Kuumba Fest   Feb. 8-10
Black 2 Excellence Kuumba (Swahili for creativity) Fest brings together community leaders, local performers and celebrities for an annual audience that averages 5,000. From gospel to hip-hop and theater to dance, SDs Kuumba Fest present a wide showcase of arts that celebrate Black American culture in all its variety.

Mermaid Half Marathon San Diego   Feb. 9
Mermaid returns to San Diegos Mission Bay for a scenic womens 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. The course features beautiful Bay views and the majority of the course takes place on closed roads. The flat course is ideal for both runners and walkers. Mermaids receive a stylish race shirt, finisher medal and necklace!

Cabrillo Sunrise 5K Fun Run & Walk   Feb. 9

American Red Cross Blood Drive    Feb. 21

Gospel Mime Group, African drummer Nana Yaw Asiedu, Spoken Word with Gregory McKnight Jr., Poet Tomas Gayton. Special Guest Speaker: Rev. Richard Lawrence, Local Author of Light, Bright, Damn Near White and civil rights activist. Music provided by DJ Leon Ferguson. There will be vendors with raffle items and soul food.
